Lane restrictions to slow drivers on Veterans Memorial Parkway

Drivers whose commute takes them along Veterans Memorial Parkway will need to leave extra time to get where they are going Thursday.

As of 7 a.m. Thursday, Veterans Memorial Parkway between Oxford Street East and Bradley Avenue will have temporary lane restrictions. According to the city, this is to allow for grass cutting and maintenance along the parkway.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction while the maintenance takes place, city officials said.

All lanes should be reopened by 3 p.m.
