One person injured after weapons incident in east London

London police say one person was hurt, and one was taken into custody during an incident in the city's east end Thursday afternoon.

According to a tweet, officers responded to the area of Highbury Avenue and Huron Street sometime before 2:30 p.m. for a weapons investigation. Police confirmed that one person was taken into custody as a result.

During the ordeal, one person suffered minor injuries.

Police say there is no threat to public safety, and the investigation is ongoing.

No other details have been released.
