$80K worth of car parts stolen

The St. Thomas Police Service (STPS) responded to a report of theft from a secure parking compound on Edward Street on Friday.

The report claimed that 16 catalytic converters had been stripped from new vehicles in the lot. It's estimated that the stolen property is worth approximately $80,000.

Police believe that the theft occurred in the overnight hours between June 22 and  June 23.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the STPS.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
