Pedestrian dead after being hit by dump truck

A tragic accident in Oxford County has claimed the life of a pedestrian.

The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police say emergency crews were called to Oxford Road 29 in Blandford-Blenheim Township just after 4 p.m. on Friday, June 24. According to police, a pedestrian was hit by a dump truck.

The pedestrian, since identified as 26-year-old Bradley Determan of Erin, was rushed to hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

"The Oxford OPP are continuing the investigation with the assistance of the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team," police said.
