Nearly $19K worth of fentanyl, meth seized from southwest-end home

A search of a home in southwest London saw police seize nearly $19,000 worth of illegal drugs.

Officers with the London police guns and drugs section and emergency response unit raided the home on Highland Avenue, just south of Baseline Road Thursday afternoon. The search turned up 56 grams of fentanyl, 27 grams of methamphetamine, eight grams of cocaine, 67 fentanyl pills, approximately $5,000 in cash. digital scales, and three cellphones.

The approximate value of the drugs seized is $18,875, police said.

A 37-year-old London man was arrested as a result of the investigation. He has been charged with three counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. He was expected to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Friday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
