Shotgun, hammer used in attempted jewellery store robbery

London police are looking for three suspects after a brazen afternoon robbery attempt at a Lambeth jewellery store.

Three men, armed with a shotgun and a hammer, walked into Bella Jewelry at 2479 Main St. around 3 p.m. on Monday and began smashing display cases.

The owner intervened and the men took off from the store empty handed. They were last seen headed southbound in a red vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Police describe all three men as having a dark complexion. One was wearing a white hoodie, white jeans, white running shoes, white gloves, and was carrying a hammer. The second suspect was wearing a black/blue hoodie, white shirt, black pants, blue running shoes, white/black gloves, and was carrying a small grey backpack and a firearm. The third suspect was wearing a black hooded jacket, white shirt, dark cargo pants, black running shoes, and white gloves.

The police street crime unit continued to investigate the attempted robbery

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
