'Suspicious' death being probed on Chippewas of the Thames First Nation

Police are investigating a suspicious death on the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.

Emergency crews were called about a 'sudden death' at a home on Jubilee Road early Tuesday morning. One individual was found deceased.

No other details, including the cause of death or name, gender, and age of the person, have been released.

Police have only said they are treating the death as suspicious.

The investigation is being led by the OPP criminal investigation branch with the help of the Middlesex OPP major crime unit, the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario, and the Ontario forensic pathology services.

Residents are advised there will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
