Death of woman pulled from river not suspicious: London police

London police do not suspect foul play in the death of a woman whose body was pulled from the Thames River near Ivey Park Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called after a person spotted the body in the water near Thames and York streets around 12:30 p.m. Officers spent several hours in the park area recovering the body and investigating.

While it was confirmed Thursday, the deceased was an adult woman, police said they wouldn't be releasing her name until next of kin are notified.

"The death does not appear to be suspicious in nature," police added.
