Tillsonburg teen charged after two injured in alleged knife fight

A Tillsonburg teenager faces several serious charges after a fight turned physical late Thursday night.

Ontario Provincial Police in Oxford County say officers were contacted about an alleged assault on Young Street at around 10 p.m.

Police arrived, and it was revealed that a verbal fight ensued between several individuals at the location. Police say the altercation escalated into a physical brawl, ending with two people being assaulted with an edged weapon.

No life-threatening injuries were reported.

A 16-year-old from Tillsonburg has been charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Police continue to investigate the incident.

Police will not identify the suspect due to his age.
