Woman charged after driving the wrong way on one-way streets

A St. Thomas resident called 9-1-1 after watching a car weave all over the road, drive the wrong way down one-way streets, and almost hit another vehicle.

The St. Thomas Police Service (STPS) said that they responded to the call late Saturday afternoon and arrested the female driver.

Police said the 26-year-old St. Thomas woman had almost three times the legal limit of alcohol in her system. She faces a number of impaired driving charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
