Shotgun, drugs seized in St. Thomas bust

A St. Thomas man faces a list of charges after police seized a shotgun and drugs in a raid on a Talbot Street apartment.

Officers, armed with a warrant, searched the apartment on Friday. According to police, they seized a 12 gauge shotgun with ammunition, a butterfly knife, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, hydromorphone, cannabis extract, cash, scales, and processing equipment.

Police say the drugs were worth a total of $35,000.

A 56-year-old man is charged with weapons and firearms offences.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
