Hamilton police are looking for a wanted fugitive that has ties to London.
Mustafa Asman Elawad, 27, is wanted for a number of serious charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, prohibited firearm, possession for the purpose schedule 1 and careless use, carry, transport, storage of firearm/ammunition.
Elawad is also wanted by London Police Service for similar offences. The charges have not been proven in court.
According to Hamilton police, Elawad is believed to be in the Toronto and Etobicoke area but has ties to Hamilton and London.
If he is observed, police ask that members of the public call 9-1-1, but do not approach him.
