Update: missing senior located

Update: Provincial police announced on Tuesday, August 23 that Beverly Woodford had been located and is safe.

Police are asking for the public's help to locate a 78-year-old Norwich man.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from Oxford County are trying to locate Beverley Woodford, who was last seen early Saturday morning.

Woodford is described as 5'6", with a medium build, and grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt and dark pants.

There has been an increased police presence in the Norwich area as the OPP, OPP Canine Services, and Emergency Response Team continue to search.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the Oxford County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
