Body discovered near downtown, foul play not suspected

London police do not suspect foul play after a body was found east of the downtown.

The grim discovery was made in the area of York and Maitland streets around 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

CTV News reported the body was located by a mechanic inside of a vehicle in a used car lot. Police would not confirm that account.

A suspected cause of death has not been released. However, there is no foul play suspected, police said.

The name of the deceased is not being released.
