Norfolk man identified as person killed in Highway 403 crash

Provincial police have identified the person killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 403 east of Woodstock as a 51-year-old Norfolk County man.

The crash between a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle happened in the eastbound lanes of the highway east of Oxford Road 55 just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Investigators have determined the passenger vehicle hit the rear of the commercial vehicle.

Jason R. Cook of Norfolk County was pronounced dead at the scene.

The eastbound lanes of the highway were closed for roughly five hours while emergency crews were on scene.

The investigation is ongoing. Brant County OPP are asking anyone with dash cam footage or who witnessed the crash to call them at 1-888-310-1122.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
