$60K fire at downtown office building suspicious: police

London police and fire officials are investigating a suspicious blaze at a downtown office building.

Emergency crews were called to the fire at the rear of 383 Richmond Street at King Street around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and no one was hurt.

Damage is estimated at approximately $60,000.

"The fire was deemed to be suspicious in nature and the investigation was assigned to members of the police street crime unit, with the assistance of the London Fire Department," police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
