UPDATE: Rainfall warning ended for London area

Environment Canada has ended its rainfall warning for the London area.

Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning Sunday afternoon, stating slow-moving showers and thunderstorms could cause significant amounts of rain throughout the evening.

Meteorologists predicted rainfall amounts could reach 50 to 70 millimetres by Monday morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts.
