Suspicious fire causes $100K in damage

Damage is estimated at $100,000 after a suspicious fire just north of downtown London.

Firefighters were called about a shed that was on fire on Sydenham Street near Richmond Street around 4 a.m. on Friday. The blaze was able to spread to the exterior wooden stairs of the home on the property.

Fortunately, fire crews contained and extinguished the fire before it made it inside the house.

No injuries were reported.

Fire inspectors are expected to be on scene throughout the morning. The fire has been deemed suspicious.
