Western Fair mass vaccination clinic moving

The London region's original COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic is moving to a new spot after nearly two years at the Western Fair Agriplex.

The Middlesex London Health Unit announced on Tuesday the clinic will relocate to the fair district's main building on the north side of Florence Street on October 3. The space was previously used as the Western Fair Raceway’s simulcast area.

The Agriplex vaccination site opened on December 23, 2020 and was the region’s first mass clinic. Since then more than 1.2 million doses of vaccine have been administered at sites across the city and county. Its last day of operation will be on September 29.

The health unit said it is letting the public know about the planned move now so that people can begin booking their vaccination appointments at the clinic's new location. Individuals will continue to be able to get their primary COVID-19 vaccine series (first and second doses) and booster shots at the new site. The bivalent vaccine will also be available to those who are eligible to receive it.

COVID-19 vaccine appointments can be booked online at covidvaccinelm.ca or by calling 226-289-3560.
