Windsor pair charged in stabbing of Woodstock man

A pair from Windsor face charges after a Woodstock man was allegedly stabbed and robbed near a bank over the weekend.

According to Woodstock police, officers were called at around 5:40 a.m. Sunday for a report of a fight between several people in a bank parking lot on Dundas Street in Woodstock.

Police arrived and learned that an unknown man and woman approached another man exiting the bank after using the ATM machine. During the interaction, police say the male suspect reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the other man before taking his wallet.

The victim, identified as a 33-year-old Woodstock man, suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to hospital to be treated. Police say the man has since been released.

As a result a 31-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both of Windsor were arrested on scene and charged with robbery with a weapon and robbery and wounding. The man faces an additional charge of failing to comply with a release order.
