Man charged in southwest London business break-in

A 35-year-old man is facing charges after a business in the southwest end was broken into over the weekend.

London police were called by a citizen who reported seeing a man smash a window to get inside of a business in the area of Wharncliffe Road South and Commissioners Road East around 1:40 p.m. on Saturday.

Officers arrived to find a man inside the location. He was arrested with the help of the police canine unit.

A London man has since been charged with breaking and entering, committing mischief and failure to comply with a release order.

He was scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charges on Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
