Two pedestrians seriously hurt in hit-and-run

London police are probing a hit-and-run in the Oakridge area that sent two pedestrians to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews were called about a collision in the area of Fiddlers Green Road and Oxford Street West around 10:30 p.m. Monday. When they arrived on scene, they found two pedestrians had been hit by a vehicle that took off from the area, police said

Both pedestrians were taken to hospital - one with life-threatening injuries, the other with serious injuries.

Police have not released any information about the age or gender of the two people hurt.

The investigation has been turned over to the police traffic management unit and is said to be in its early stages.

The collision saw Fiddlers Green from Oxford to Hyde Park Road closed for several hours. It was reopened Tuesday morning.
