Two kids accused in Glencoe curling club fire

Provincial police believe two children under the age of 12 were behind a weekend fire at the Glencoe curling club.

Middlesex OPP and Southwest Middlesex firefighters were called to the blaze at 268 Currie Street in Glencoe just after 11:15 a.m. on Sunday.

According to police, two people got into the building through a broken window and proceeded to set the fire.

The small blaze was contained quickly.

Damage is estimated at $5,000.

The suspects have been identified as two kids who were both under the age of 12. Charges have not been laid.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
