Woodstock police have charged two more people in an ongoing drug investigation deemed the largest bust in the city's history.
Last Tuesday, investigators announced officers seized approximately $595,000 worth of drugs during a search at a home on Springbank Avenue on October 17.
Substances found during the probe included 65 ounces of cocaine, 22 ounces of fentanyl, 28 ounces of methamphetamine, 44 ounces of psilocybin, over 300 hydromorphone capsules, and more than $33,000 in cash. A 47-year-old Woodstock man and a 43-year-old Cambridge man were arrested after a foot chase, though no charges were announced at the time.
On Monday, police announced that in addition to the drugs and cash turned up last week, a taser and a 2017 Jeep Wrangler were also located. Another man, and a woman, both 24 years old and from Woodstock, have been arrested as part of the investigation. Police have also dealt a lengthy list of charges against the four individuals.
All four face several charges of possession of schedule I substance for trafficking methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, psilocybin and hydromorphone and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Three of the accused are charged with possession of a prohibited device.
