Man sought in death of child

London police are searching for a man who is now charged in the death of a young child.

Police launched an investigation after emergency crews were called to a home on Nelson Street on the afternoon of Sunday, March 7, 2021. A caller to 911 reported that the child was unresponsive and in need of medical attention.

A pre-school aged child was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy was performed, however the child's cause of death has not been released. The autopsy has, however, led to a charge of manslaughter against Guiseppe Joseph Stillitano, 47, of London. He is also charged with criminal negligence causing death.

"The accused and the deceased were known to each other, and this was not a random incident," police said.

Police are still looking for Stillitano (shown above).

Anyone who knows where he might be is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
