Two charged in pepper spray attack

Two women are facing charges after a worker at a London business was hit with pepper spray.

According to London police, two women entered a business in the area of Fanshawe Park Road and Richmond Street around 9 p.m. Wednesday. Police say employees caught them trying to steal items and told them to leave the store.

There was an argument and one of the employees was assaulted.

"Police were contacted and the women fled the store after pepper spraying the employees," police said.

Two suspects were arrested at their homes.

A 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman, both from London, and each charged with theft under $5,000. The 19-year-old is also charged with assault and assault with a weapon.

Both are to appear in court November 22.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
