Runaway miniature horse wreaks havoc on Highway 401 near Woodstock

Provincial police in Oxford County had to deal with some horseplay that led to issues on Highway 401 outside of Woodstock.

A miniature horse escaped its pen and was seen trotting along the busy highway Thursday morning.

Two men who were passing by spotted the animal and stopped to corral it before anyone was hurt.

No collisions were reported.

The small horse was safely returned to its owner.

Oxford OPP publicly commended the actions of the passersby on social media.

"Great job fellas," police said in a post that featured a picture of the men with the miniature horse.
