Fentanyl, cocaine seized in nearly $43K drug bust

A tip about a man with a gun led London police to more than $40,000 worth of drugs.

Police received the call about a man who allegedly had a firearm on Admiral Drive near Veterans Memorial Parkway late Thursday night.

When officers arrived they found a man sitting inside a vehicle in a parking lot. The man was arrested after police determined he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

A search that followed the arrest turned up 134.9 grams of suspected fentanyl, 11.3 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, and 11.4 grams of suspected cocaine.

The total value of the drugs seized is $$42,967, police said.

No gun was found.

A 32-year-old London man has been charged with three counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and one count of failing to comply with an undertaking. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
