Semi-auto rifles, $374K in drugs seized from London home

Three Londoners and a Sarnia man have been charged after police seized two semi-automatic rifles, a replica gun and more than $374,000 worth of various drugs from a northeast-end home.

Officers with the London police guns and gangs section, along with members of the emergency response unit, canine unit, and uniformed division, searched a home on Regal Drive north of Huron Street on Friday.

Police seized 1928 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 113 grams of fentanyl, 108 grams of cocaine, 18 grams of benzodiazepine, 14 grams of psilocybin, 807 grams of the suspected binding agent mannitol, 754 grams of a suspected caffeine binding agent, two digital scales, a Kel-Tec Sub-2000 semi-automatic rifle, a Mossberg 702 semi-automatic rifle, a replica revolver, and 222 rounds of ammunition. The search also turned up a large quantity of bundled Canadian currency.

Four people, a 39-year-old woman, a 42-year-old man, and a 28-year-old woman all from London, and a 46-year-old Sarnia man, have been charged with 18 offences including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, careless store of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a licence, and possession of a regulated firearm.

The 42-year-old man and 28-year-old woman are additionally charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited.

The two men are scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Monday, while the 39-year-old and 28-year-old women will appear on Tuesday and January 27.
