The national weather agency issued the statement Saturday ahead of a mix of wintry weather that was expected to last through Sunday.
Four Sarnia streets made the CAA's regional Worst Roads list this year. The only road outside of Sarnia to make the top five was Windsor's Riverside Drive East.
The city said road, water and sewer work is starting to get underway, marking another year of aggressive investment into infrastructure renewal.
The all ages event, in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Sarnia-Lambton, will go rain or shine.
