'I feel so grateful': London store owner wins $100K

Seventeen years of playing the lottery has finally paid off for a London convenience store owner.

Yong Jang Jin claimed the $100,000 Encore prize in the June 7, 2022 Lotto Max draw. While picking up his winnings at the OLG prize centre, Jin said he has been playing the lottery for 17 years and this is his first substantial win.

"I went to the store to check my ticket and was surprised to see I won $100,000. I had to check it four times – I couldn't believe it," he said.

Jin said his children were just as shocked as him when he told them the good news.

He plans to use his windfall to pay his mortgage.

"One hundred per cent of this win will go toward my home,” said Jin. "I feel so grateful."

The winning ticket was purchased at the Market off the Highway 401 West in Ingersoll.
