Two arrested, drugs seized after St. Thomas break-in

A break-in at a south-end home in St. Thomas ended with $1,700 in drugs seized and two men charged.

St. Thomas police were called about a suspected break and enter in progress at the home just after 6:30 a.m. on Monday. When officers arrived they found two men inside.

The men were ordered out and were arrested without incident.

A search of them turned up 3.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 27.8 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, and 10 tablets of hydromorphone.

Two men, aged 36 and 38, were charged with one count each of breaking and entering. The 38-year-old is additionally charged with three counts of possession of drugs.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
