Woodstock woman charged in child pornography investigation

Woodstock police have charged a woman after a child pornography investigation.

According to police officials, on Monday, members of the Woodstock Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit and the Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested a resident as a result of a preliminary investigation.

The 31-year-old Woodstock woman is charged with one count of possession of child pornography. She was taken back into police custody for a bail hearing on Monday and later released.

Officers say the investigation remains ongoing.
