Gateway Casinos re-opens Clinton, Woodstock locations

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment announced it is re-opening two more of its casinos after a two-week shutdown.

On Tuesday, the company said locations in Woodstock and Clinton are ready to go back online following the successful re-opening of the Innisfil, London, and Wasaga Beach casinos on April 29.

The locations have been shut down since April 16 after a ransomware attack knocked out its servers.

Both sites are set to re-open for business at 8 p.m. The entertainment company said all slots (and e-tables at Woodstock) will be available for customers to enjoy along with the Getaway Express.

"We will continue to re-open our businesses in Ontario over the coming days," read a statement from the company. "Please visit the Gateway property websites or social channels for the most up-to-date information."

Fourteen of Gateway's Ontario casinos, including Cascades Casino in Chatham, Starlight Casino in Point Edward, Gateway Casinos in Sarnia, and Playtime Casino in Hanover, have been affected by the shutdown.
