Teen charged with impaired driving after serious south London crash

An impaired driving charge has been laid against a London teen after a crash that left one person with serious injuries.

Emergency crews were called to the two-vehicle collision in the area of Southdale Road East and Willow Drive around 9:15 p.m. on Thursday.

One person had to be cut from the wreckage. That individual was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious, but non-life threatening.

An 18-year-old London man has been charged with impaired driving. He is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charge on June 13.

The investigation is ongoing, London police said.
