A drug trafficking investigation by the Windsor Police Service led to the arrest of a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for manslaughter in London.
Ali Fageer, 28, was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection to the homicide of Mark McCullagh. McCullagh was shot outside his London home in 2015. Fageer later pled guilty to manslaughter, armed robbery, and other charges.
Police report that in January 2020, Fageer, while out on bail pending sentencing, cut off his ankle monitor and went into hiding.
In April 2023, members of the DIGS unit of the Windsor police started a drug trafficking investigation. They identified the suspect as Fageer.
On Wednesday, he was located in a parked car in the area of Riverside Drive and Parent Avenue.
During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered 331 grams of suspected fentanyl, a collapsible baton, digital scales, and $1,000 in cash. The estimated street value of the drugs is over $82,000.

Fageer now faces an additional charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking. These charges have not been proven in court.
