Suspect sought in gunpoint robbery in White Oaks neighbourhood

An armed mugging in London's White Oaks neighbourhood has left police searching for a suspect.

The incident happened shortly after midnight on Thursday on Jalna Boulevard west of Ernest Avenue. A man was approached by another man who pulled a gun and demanded personal property, police said.

After getting property and identification from the victim, the man took off headed south.

The victim, who was not physically hurt, called police.

Officers searched the area, but did not find the suspect. Some of the property belonging to the victim was located on Sasha Crescent.

Police continue to search for a man described as dark-skinned, in his mid 20s, approximately 5’6, 135 lbs, with an average build. He was wearing a heavier tan-coloured fall jacket, dark pants, a black fanny pack, and white shoes.

Investigators are asking residents in the area, particularly those living on Sasha Crescent, to check their video surveillance or doorbell cameras for any footage that may help in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
