Serious crash in Central Elgin results in minor injuries

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say only minor injuries were suffered in a collision between a tractor and pickup truck on Sparta Line.

The crash happened Saturday afternoon, temporarily closing the two-lane roadway in Central Elgin.

Elgin County OPP, Central Elgin Fire Rescue, and Elgin-St. Thomas Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene.

Injuries were not serious.

Police urged drivers to pay attention on the road and provide slow moving vehicles with adequate space if attempting to pass.

The road re-opened around 4:30 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
