Two Londoners charged in delivery truck theft

Two men are facing charges after a delivery truck loaded with parcels was stolen in east London.

London police were called about the vehicle theft in the area of Bow Street and Noel Avenue around 12 p.m. on Monday. Officers found the delivery truck a short distance away, however, a number of packages were missing from inside.

Investigators got a search warrant for a home on Toulon Crescent five hours later.

The stolen packages were found and two men were arrested.

A 32-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both from London, have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The 32-year-old is additionally charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

The two accused have future court dates.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
