Federal offender wanted, known to frequent London

A Canada Wide Warrant has been issued for 36-year-old Matthew Daigneault, who police say is known to visit London and its surrounding areas.

Daigneault is wanted for allegedly breaching his statutory release. Police say he is serving a sentence of five years, two months, and 14 days for impaired driving, possession of drugs for trafficking purposes, and possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order and while unauthorized.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 6' tall, and 243 lbs. Police say he has short hair with a receding hairline, or, the man could have a shaved head.

The Ontario Provincial Police's Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad is hoping the public can help them locate Daigneault.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
