Man accused of following teens charged with criminal harassment

A 42-year-old London man is facing charges after teenagers were followed in the north-end of the city Friday night.

London police were called about a suspicious person in the area of Kipps Lane and Belfield Street around 6 p.m. Officers were given a description of a man who was allegedly approaching and following teenagers in the area.

No injuries were reported and a suspect was arrested a short time later.

A 42-year-old London man has been charged with criminal harassment and resisting arrest. He was scheduled to appear in London court on Monday.

The investigation has been turned over to the London Police Service's sexual assault and child abuse section.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
