Man charged in knife-point robbery near police headquarters

Charges have been laid against a London man after a knife was used in a robbery at a business near Old East Village.

A man reportedly walked into the unnamed business on Dundas Street at Adelaide Street North just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday and began attempting to steal property. He is alleged to have had a knife and made threats against employees.

London police were called and arrested a man in front of the business.

A knife was seized, police said.

A 47-year-old London man has been charged with armed robbery.

He appeared in court in relation to the charge on Wednesday.
