Charges laid after person threatened with knife

A knife was seized and a man arrested after a person was threatened in London's downtown over the weekend.

According to London police, a man walked up to another person in the area of Wellington Road and Dundas Street, pulled a knife, and began making threats around 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Police were called and the man took off running.

Officers arrested a suspect a short distance away. A knife was seized, police said.

No one was hurt during the incident.

A 46-year-old London man has since been charged with possession of a weapon and uttering threats to cause bodily harm. He is expected to appear in court on July 24.
