London police seek downtown break-in suspect

London police are asking for the public's help tracking down a man wanted in connection with a break-in at a downtown business.

A person notified police about an "insecure" business in the area of Wellington Road and Horton Street around 5 a.m. last Saturday. Officers arrived to find damage to the rear door of the building.

Police were able to identify a suspect after reviewing security surveillance footage.

Justin Curtis Dempsey, 36, has been charged by way of warrant for break, enter and theft, police said.

Dempsey has yet to be taken into custody. Police released a photo of him to the public on Friday and are asking anyone who spots him or has information to his whereabouts to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
