UPDATE: Man wanted for sexual assault and robbery

London police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in relation to a sexual assault and robbery that took place in the city's north end.

According to police, just before 4:30 a.m. Thursday, a woman was walking south on Adelaide Street North when a man began to follow her.

The man attacked and sexually assaulted the woman before stealing her purse and leaving the scene, police said.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Police released a photo of the suspect Friday.

He is described as a white man, approximately 5’6” with a slim build, and shoulder-length curly hair.

At the time, he was said to be shirtless, wearing running shoes and black sweatpants. He was also carrying a black and white gym bag.
