Two charged after $13K worth of illegal drugs, cash seized

More than $13,000 worth of cocaine and methamphetamine were seized by Woodstock police during a series of raids in the city.

Officers with the drugs and intelligence unit searched two homes and a vehicle in the city over the weekend. In addition to the illicit drugs, police also found an undisclosed amount of cash.

A 35-year-old Woodstock resident and a 40-year-old from Tillsonburg were arrested.

The 35-year-old is charged with two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The 40-year-old is charged with operation while prohibited and failure to comply with an undertaking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
