UPDATE: Suspect located in northeast London sexual assault, robbery

London police have located a suspect accused of violating and robbing a woman in the city’s northeast end last week.

At around 4:20 a.m. on July 6, a woman was walking south on Adelaide Street North when a man began to follow her. Police said the man attacked and sexually assaulted the victim, before stealing her purse and leaving the scene. She sustained minor injuries during the incident.

On Monday, police identified the man as 28-year-old Dennis Phillips-Cada, and issued a public safety warning after releasing images and a description of the man obtained through security footage.

Late Tuesday afternoon, officers confirmed that Phillips-Cada was located and arrested. He remains in police custody.

Police are thanking the public for their help in the matter.
