Transport truck driver charged for driving the wrong way on Hwy. 402

A 60-year-old Ridgeway man was charged with driving a transport truck the wrong way on Hwy. 402 just outside London.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the 402 at 1:43 Wednesday morning. Police say they got several calls about a transport truck that entered the highway at Longwoods Road and travelled eastbound in the westbound lanes.

Officers closed the highway at Wonderland Road and stopped the vehicle.

No collisions were reported.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
