Gun, drugs, and a stolen truck seized by police

A 61-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation faces numerous charges after the search of a home on Melbourne Road.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted members of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police, and Oneida Nation Police in executing a search warrant on Thursday at the home on Chippewas of the Thames First Nation land.

Police seized a long gun, ammunition, methadone, Percocet, cocaine, along with cash and cell phones. According to police, a pickup truck and enclosed trailer, previously reported stolen from London, were also recovered.

A 61-year-old man faces half a dozen weapon and drug charges.

The investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
