'Suspicious activity' call leads to weapon and drug charges

A Londoner was arrested in St. Thomas following a report of suspicious behaviour.

According to St. Thomas police, officers responded to a Mondamin Street address on Thursday and found three people unloading a van.

One individual was found in possession of ammunition, which went against a court order. A further search of the person found quantities of fentanyl and methemphetamine.

No firearm was found at the scene.

The 40-year-old faces charges of possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and two counts of possessing drugs.

The Londoner was released with a future court date.
